Volunteers Needed

Several volunteer opportunities exist within the Loaves & Fishes Warming Center system. Below is a list of ways to get involved to help us with our mission!

• Warming Center Volunteers

  • Assists with greeting nightly guests and and directing them to intake areas

  • Performs basic janitorial duties to keep the Warming Center clean and orderly

  • Assist with meal preparation and distribution

• Saturday Dinners: Volunteers can assist in a myriad of ways during dinner and can contribute to one/all of the following

  • Purchasing food items to make a main course and side for 50 people

  • Prepare dinners for service

  • Bake items for dessert

  • Serve during dinner and assist with clean up

  • Donate paper products and/or beverage options for dinners

Join our Board of Directors!

We are always looking for dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors to help us grow and strengthen as a community organization! Our Board meets once a month in person on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 5:00pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Herkimer. To learn more, visit our “Events” page!
