Warming Center Services

The Warming Center is open from October 1-April 30th from 9pm-7am for individuals experiencing homelessness. Referrals to the Warming Center are not required. Each individual looking for refuge at the Warming Center receive:

  • A bed for the night in a warm and secure environment

  • A late night snack and coffee/water/tea

  • Access to laundry facilities

  • Clean clothes

  • Hygiene supplies

  • Daily breakfast

  • Bagged Lunch

  • Referrals to outside agencies and resources as needed

Saturday Dinners

Hosted every Saturday at Herkimer Reformed Church (102 Church St. Herkimer). All members of the community are welcome, whether you utilize the Warming Center or not. Dinner is served from 5-6pm and shower facilities are available from 4-6pm for those who need it. Hygiene supplies and towels are available for use.

Interested in helping at a Saturday Dinner? We are always looking for volunteers to donate food, cook, and/or serve at our dinners! Contact us to learn more about how you can help!

Free Clothing Closet

Open every Wednesday from 12:30-2:30pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Herkimer. Provides FREE access to clothing, shoes, and hygiene items to those that need it. Individuals do NOT have to be actively using Warming Center services to access the Clothing Closet.

Bagged lunches are also available during operational hours.

Trinity Lutheran Church is located at 443 Henry St. in Herkimer (corner of Henry and W. German St.). Please use the Henry St. Entrance.

We do take donations of new and gently used clothing items. We ask that all items are freshly washed prior to being donated. We also ask that arrangements are made for drop off. Contact us to make that arrangement.

DO NOT leave bags of clothes/other items at the door of Trinity Church.
